PARADISE ISLAND: ICONIC MEETS ELECTRIC
Dune by Jean-Georges
Some restaurants earn their place in the island story.
Perched above a white-sand bluff at The Ocean Club, A Four Seasons Resort, Dune has been setting the stage for island fine dining for more than 25 years. Jean-Georges Vongerichten’s French-Asian cuisine brings together global influences, fresh seafood and a dash of Bahamian spice, all framed by one of Paradise Island’s most dramatic ocean views.
It is elegant without feeling rigid. Sophisticated without losing its sense of place.
CARNIVALE BAHAMAS
Then Paradise Island turns up the volume.
Set on the Paradise Island waterfront at Paradise Landing, Carnivale brings Latin and Bahamian flavours together with craft cocktails, original artwork, music and a lush indoor-outdoor setting. Its event team can tailor the restaurant’s distinctive spaces for corporate and social gatherings, making it less like a conventional group dinner and more like the evening’s main event.
One is quietly iconic. The other refuses to whisper.
Good to know: Both are ideally placed for guests staying at Atlantis and approximately 20–25 minutes from Baha Mar, depending on traffic.
DOWNTOWN NASSAU: COURTYARD TO HARBOURFRONT
Downtown Nassau does not reveal itself all at once. Behind the historic streets, harbour views and colourful façades are dining experiences with very different personalities—one intimate and newly rediscovered, the other bright, contemporary and right on the water.
Café Matisse
A much-loved downtown favourite is back.
Reopened in its restored 19th-century home near Parliament Square, Café Matisse once again brings Italian cooking, island character and its celebrated garden courtyard together. It is the kind of place where the setting encourages guests to slow down and dinner stretches naturally into the night.
There is history here, but never heaviness.
Latitudes
Just east of downtown, Latitudes gives the harbour a front-row seat.
Floor-to-ceiling views over Nassau Harbour set the scene for a wide-ranging menu that moves from seafood and sushi to freshly made pizza and teppanyaki. That variety gives it genuine group appeal: one table, many tastes and a relaxed waterfront atmosphere that works equally well for lunch, sunset dining or an easy evening away from the resort.
Nassau West: Follow the Sunset
Head west and Nassau begins to exhale.
The roads open up, the coastline takes over and dinner becomes part of the escape.
Solemar
At the reimagined Compass Point, Solemar introduces a new chapter for one of Nassau’s most recognisable oceanside landmarks.
Fresh seafood, sushi and crafted cocktails are served against uninterrupted ocean views, while the western location makes sunset feel less like a backdrop and more like part of the programme. The venue also welcomes group bookings and private events, giving planners room to turn a relaxed seaside dinner into something more tailored.

Mogano by Giorgio Locatelli
Mogano offers a different kind of discovery.
Set beneath native mahogany trees at The Island House, it brings Giorgio Locatelli’s ingredient-led approach to Italian cooking into a setting that feels intimate, warm and quietly sophisticated. Handmade pastas, seasonal mains and a distinctive wine programme are served across an open dining room, private wine cellar and garden courtyard.
Solemar gives you the shoreline. Mogano gives you the secret.
Good to know: Nassau West is particularly convenient for guests staying at Baha Mar and Cable Beach, with venues approximately 6–20 minutes away. Allow around 30 minutes from Paradise Island, depending on traffic.
