Why did you join Cacique International?

Fabian: I joined Cacique International as a part timer in 2005 because the people were awesome. Why did I stay on full time? I have fun and enjoy every part of the programs I manage. I think I found my calling.

Tinika: I wanted a career change from accounting and administration to event planning.  Cacique International is the top DMC in the country and I knew I would be challenged there.

What’s the easiest way to describe what you do here?

Fabian: I’m a people greeter, food taster, powerboat rider, island getaway doer, deep-sea fisher, restaurants and catamaran sunrise/ sunset cruiser. Oh yes, there’s a bit of work in there too.

Ray: Basically my job involves being myself, having fun and meeting a lot of people on a daily basis. In my job role you have to be very organized but still personable.

What is the most memorable event you have been involved in at Cacique International?

Ray: I was blown away by our creative design and events setup team for an Arabian-themed event at the Four Seasons Resort in Exuma. The imagination and level of detail was incredible. I had never really seen anything like it and for me it was AWESOME!

Tinika: We did a cruise early in 2016 and it was my first time planning an event on a cruise. I was able to plan, execute and far exceed the clients’ expectations. What a joy that was!

Tell us something we don’t know about you.

Fabian: I have a Bio Chemistry degree and my first job after graduation was with the Public Hospitals Board. Maybe it’s not ironic that ‘Zombieland’ is one of my favourite movies.

Tinika: I’ve collected mugs for a while but the funny thing is I never drank tea or coffee until recently.  Now, I drink tea just about every day, sometimes two or three times a day. I’m finally getting to use my mugs and it’s wonderful!

Ray: I love the outdoors and the simple things about island life. The air is clean and I can go fishing.
