Collin Abraham|Director Of Events, Warehouse & Floral Operations
Why did you join Cacique International?
After years of working with high-profile clients in New Jersey, I was drawn to The Bahamas by the opportunity to create something more soulful and design-forward. I originally joined Cacique as Lead Floral Designer, which gave me the freedom to explore my passion for floral artistry on a whole new canvas. The transition into my current role was a natural evolution—I love bringing beauty, structure, and story to every event we touch.
What keeps you inspired after all these years in design and events?
Nature. Culture. The quiet poetry of form and space. I’m especially inspired by the Japanese art of Ikebana—it teaches you to listen to flowers, not just arrange them. Whether I’m walking through a warehouse or setting a table in the middle of paradise, I’m always asking, “What wants to be revealed here?”
What’s the essence of Cacique International’s soul?
It’s the fusion of passion and precision. Our team doesn’t just execute events—we curate moments. We come from all walks of life, but we share a commitment to excellence and a love for The Bahamas. There’s an energy here that clients feel immediately. It’s contagious—in the best way.
Who is your favorite designer?
I have a soft spot for minimalists with a point of view. Issey Miyake comes to mind—his work feels like motion made visible. Clean lines, unexpected structure, and a reverence for detail. That resonates with how I approach floral and event design.
Tell us something we don’t know about you.
I’m a sucker for a good Cuban cigar. There’s a meditative quality to it—the ritual, the stillness, the way it slows time down. That, and I can whip up a killer Trinidadian curry on a Sunday afternoon. Floral design and food—they’re both about composition, fragrance, and flair.
