How did you start Cacique International? While working in the legal field back in 2005, I was introduced to another DMC and offered the opportunity to work as a part-time Tour Representative. I quickly learned that to be a part of “Team Cacique” was a coveted role for most tour reps. When the opportunity presented itself in 2007, I jumped at chance. Being assigned to many different aspects of programs, I soaked up the experiences and wanted to know more about what it took to execute such amazing programs and events. In 2011, a full-time planning position opened up and I haven’t looked back.  

What is the easiest way to describe what you do at Cacique? My role is to manage and support the team responsible for organizing and executing programs and events.

What is your favourite thing about being part of the Cacique team? I love how we continue to set the bar higher. When presented with the opportunity to push limits we always come together as a team to turn concepts into reality. 

What has been your favourite project at Cacique? Most recently, we had a repeat client with 1500 or so guests come to the island on their biannual  retreat. The challenge was to come up with a family event that was out of the realm of anything they had done before. After locking down our “Jungle Safari” theme, the team was entrusted to transform a huge ballroom into jungle oasis complete with 20 foot trees, Tarzan & Jane, games and activity center and live animals!
